Course details

This course will use activities, talks and discussions to communicate sustainability and engage pupils with global issues in the classroom.

This course is designed predominantly for professionals in education – KS2 and 3 teachers, but also education advisers, education project workers, trainee teachers, and anyone with an interest or connection to education and sustainability.

The course is suitable for KS2-3 teachers yet will give anyone involved in education a meaningful understanding of ESD (and GC in Wales), and practical ideas for how to deliver it.

A breadth of topics will be covered including energy, buildings and food.

The emphasis is on finding solutions to global problems and designing sustainable futures.

Participants will learn how to deliver informative and dynamic sessions on sustainable development and global citizenship.

Participants will be residing in our Eco-cabins, which with their unique energy monitoring systems and beautiful location overlooking Taran y Gesail mountain will be an inspiring experience in itself.

The course will be run by CAT Education Officers and ESDGC Specialists.
