Dates, Times & Fees
Welcome to a magical weekend with Dr John Kearney as you learn how to identify mushrooms and fungi in a whole host of different habitats. You’ll be foraging in the undergrowth as you uncover some of the main edible species and learn to avoid those that are not. You’ll appreciate the habits, ecology and even the behaviour of this mysterious genus.
Next you’ll examine cultivation techniques and the role of mycelium in permaculture food systems as well as the extraordinary use of mycelium for dealing with hazardous waste and polluted soil with particular reference to the research work undertaken here at CAT.
Dress warm and dry as you’ll be guided to these gems through our CAT woodland Coed Gwern.
